Pink Offers on Pay Fine for Norwegian Women’s Handball Team Over ‘Chauvinist’ Bikini Dress Code.

The three-time Grammy Award champ, 41, offered to pay the group’s $1,765.28 fine forced by the European Handball Federation. The EHF said the ladies contended in “ill-advised attire” when they selected shorts rather than the commanded two-piece bottoms at the European Beach Handball Championships.

The Norwegian group was fined last week after wearing shorts during their bronze decoration match against Spain in Varna, Bulgaria, which conflicts with the International Handball Federation’s principles. They were requested to pay 150 Euros for each colleague, for an aggregate of 1,500 Euros (which comes out to roughly $1,700

As per the IHF’s principles, “female competitors should wear two-piece bottoms… with a nearby fit and cut on a vertical point toward the highest point of the leg. The side width should be of a limit of 10 centimeters.”

Player Katinka Haltvik uncovered that the group chose last-moment to roll out the improvement in their outfits. “It was extremely unconstrained. So we thought, ‘We should take care of business now, and afterward see what occurs,'” Haltvik revealed to Norway’s NRK.

Their choice was protected by Norway’s Handball Federation (NHF), who consented to pay the fine for every competitor. “I took a message 10 minutes before the same that they would wear the attire that they were happy with. Furthermore, they got our full help,” NHF President Kåre Geir Lio revealed to NBC News.

“We are delighted for these young ladies who are at the European Championships in seashore handball. They raised their voice and revealed to us that that’s the last straw,” the association composed on Instagram. “We are the Norwegian Handball Federation, and we remain behind you and backing you. We will keep on battling to change the global guidelines for clothing so players can play in the dress they are alright with.”

EHF President Michael Wiederer has since declared that the association will reconsider the clothing standard they presently carry out.
