While performing live on Jimmy Kimmel on Monday, the 35-year-old actress opened up to hosting Arsenio Hall guests for a drink of Ayahuasca with a Kelly machine gun while the pair were on a recent trip to Costa Rica.
“So we went to Costa Rica to do ayahuasca in an atmosphere suitable for the locals,” Fox said, referring to the psychoactive tea, which is used as a spiritual remedy and can cause hallucinations. “…So I thought it was like glitter like it was going to be kind of a five-star experience.”

You have to go far to pour your water, and you can’t take a shower because you’re dry,” he continued. …[it’s] nothing glamorous, and it all helps to make you vulnerable. So you enjoy the experience.” Then Fox recalled how preparations for the spiritual ceremony began when Kelly, 31, and “20 other strangers” stood in line to be vomited.

“This prepares you to attend tonight’s ceremony because you think my pride is gone, I just did this in front of all these strangers, and now I am ready to open up,” said Death Star. However, at it came to the actual ceremony and drinking of Ayahuasca, Fox said the experiment lasted three nights and was “very intense.”
“Everyone has a different journey, but the second night I went to hell for centuries,” Fox recalled. “The mere knowledge that it is immortal is suffering in itself because there is no beginning, no middle or end. So you have the true death of the ego.”
